These findings are pretty much what I've been sayin' all along. No one is going to spend the money (well, very few are) when you can get upconversion to look pretty solid and you already have such a large library of DVDs

While I'm glad there's only one HD disc format, what do you fucks think would be the case now if HD-DVD had been the standard in the Xbox 360 (as it should have been)?

HD-DVD victory?
Bluray victory?
Still locked in an inconvenient and segmenting battle?

I think it still would have been decided by whichever format the porno industry chose...as it should be.

This is not the age of Beta vs. VHS. The internets rule the porn world now. I'm not even so sure that I want to see high-def vag or cumshots.

There would be the same overstatement of market.

The industry is pushing HUGE for this, the manufacturers and movie companies alike. It's just not many care regardless of how much they want them to.

I was actually lookin' at HD-DVD prices. 300 and V for Vendetta for $13, Harry Potter 1-5 Limited gift set for $65....some great prices (at Futureshop.ca). If I can find a player in the $20 range for the 360 (they're still tryin' to get $50 for them) I may just pick up a few since it's so damned cheap. The 300 on in particular as the PIP option is supposed to rule and I don't own the movie yet.

Most good porn sites put up high definition pictures on the order of 1600x1000 or so. That's about the size of a Blu-Ray definition. Some of those include close-ups.

Apparently, these porn sites are still doing that because people are playing them money to do so. Also, Blu-Ray/HD-DVD porn has already reached the market, and people are buying.
