*SPOILER QUESTION AHEAD*

Just tell me this...is it true that there are.....space aliens???? Please, say no. I'll withhold total judgment until I see it, but that just bothers me for some reason.

Man, you guys had high expectations? It was made by George Lucas, features an old Indiana Jones, and was doomed for failure.

It should have been called "Indiana Jones and... I'm Too Old For This Shit"

I don't think his age matters. He handled himself pretty well in Firewall in terms of the physical scenes.

What will bother me (if the movie does, in fact, suck) is that Lucas was quoted saying that this movie was made for the fans, not the critics. Guess he didn't remember that the fans are the biggest critics! :)

That's a polite way of saying that the movie will suck. Critics liked Star Wars 4-6. Critics liked Indiana Jones 1-3. Critics didn't like Star Wars 1-3.

Critics are normal people just like everybody else. I wish people would quit demonizing them.

I agree with Lox, the last Die Hard (while insanely unbelievable) was insanely kickass with an old Bruce Willis.

Yeah, Die Hard 3 was the best IMO. You like Die Hard 4?

Lucas was just going by the SW prequel trilogy with that quote. Each of the films made more than $300M in the US and well over $500M worldwide (before DVD sales) yet were mostly panned by critics. Essentially, that means that the masses don't care about what the hardcore critics are saying.

3 was def the best, but i rented 4 last week and thought it was a good ride. Cheesy as hell plot, but just an all around entertaining action movie with McLean still kicking ass.

But it didn't quite "feel" like a Die Hard film, did it? It was more of a new-aged action flick with MacLean in it

No, that just means that the moviegoers were still willing to go to the "showers", even though there was a sign that said "Gas Chambers Ahead".

Yes, I went there.

yes but it works in the same way that face melting jesus box and de-deathifying sippy cup to....They take an out there interpretation of a legend and make it real....and I'll be damned it worked....and worked pretty well. I loved it. I would put it at 3 just ahead of Doom and just behind Last Crusade. I loved it

People say I'm a heretic for this, but Last Crusade is my favorite Indiana Jones film.

I love them all, really--well, unless four sucks. I still gotta see it. But, I mean, as a trilogy goes, it just works, even Temple of Doom.

Temple of Doom was definitely the dog of the series. That series is reliant on its MacGuffin and the one in Temple just sucked. How the hell could a fucking stone that no one knows anything about stand up to the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail? At least the Crystal Skull is a real-life mysterious artifact.

Also, Temple was completely based on this stupid cult thing rather than a discovery adventure. And missing the Nazis was huge

Yeah, because even though Indiana Jones is old as fuck, there must STILL be Nazis.

I'd have to agree with you on that actually. My faves go Last Crusade, then Raiders, then Temple of Doom. There's just something about Last Crusade that I love...maybe it's the Connery/Ford combo or that Nazi general guy or whatever.

It has the most emotional depth and growth for the characters than any of the others. The father/son dynamic, and the theme that John Williams made for them, is really quite heartwarming.

Plus it's Sean fucking Connery. COME ON!

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull might not be the best Indiana Jones movie, but I felt it did a good job at keeping the spirit of the original trilogy. I certainly didn't think that they were going to take the whole alien angle, but they worked in pretty well; just another interesting archaeological discovery by Dr. Jones.

Temple also gets a lot of flak. I just saw it not too long ago and it was still enjoyable(annoying sidekicks notwithstanding) . I was surprised at how much I was able to quote from it despite having watched it the least out of the trilogy.

"No time for love, Dr. Jones!"

(That's all I can remember.)

While it gets the worst reviews, i like Temple of Doom, too. The woman is annoying as hell, but Shortie is the man. "Okie dokie Dr. Jones hold onto your potatoes!"

Plus, the bug scene with the spiked ceiling is one of the most memorable Indiana Jones moments.

Yeah, there was a lot of rememberable scenes in the 2nd movie. Don't forget the monkey brain scene. ("Do you have any soup?")

I saw it. Fun time--it's classic Indy formula, its just too retro for today's audience, I think.

I saw it tonight. Definitely a fun, enjoyable IJ movie. It's at least on par with Temple for me.

My main complaints are what I call "Lucasisms" because they just have that George Lucas feel to them. The one scene on the waterfalls seemed a bit over the top. And the ending was a little bleh, but not even close to awful. The secret of the crystal skull was handled better than I thought it would be. Still not my favorite direction to go with it, but one I can accept and still enjoy.

However, it gets a big thumbs up overall because the minor complaints are overshadowed by some awesome IJ action and dialouge. The chase scene on the motorcycle was great. The fight with the ants was cool. There were a ton of good scenes and the movie just felt like an Indiana Jones movie to me. And Harrison Ford can still handle the character very well.

Very awesome episode indeed. :0

I absolutely love watching Butters and Eric. It's hilarious because they're like complete and total polar opposites of one another. One has a kind and caring mother, the other has these 2 horrible parents that punishes on a whim and has attempted to kill their son on occasion. Eric's an evil racist bastard, while Butters is this naive innocent kid. I look forward to any episode that pairs those 2 together.

Hahaha I just loved that in the end Butters stopped Eric from his insanity by constantly accidentally shooting guys in the dick. He just couldn't be a part of an organization that was known for shooting people in the dick so he quit, LoL.
