Whatever. Probably a bunch of bullshit. Even if it isn't, it's still pretty dumb. DB acts like the copyright holders somehow don't know of their existence, which is absurd. If they wanted to shut them down, they would have done it 2-3 years ago, probably as soon as the English dubs and DVDs came out.

Anyway, I stopped watching both series a while ago. I might start watching again when it actually becomes exciting and not an attempt to milk the Naruto brand for all of its worth.

Screw Naruto; it has become worse than DBZ in terms of plot pacing anyway. Hopefully this will mean they will be able to start subbing something more worth while-- like Code Geass

DB throws their "zomg we're going to get arrested cause you're all dickwads" tantrum every 6 months or so-- let them be.

So you're saying they made the announcement they're permanently dropping Naruto effective immediately on the 18th, and 6 days later they release Naruto Shippuuden 67, yet they're still serious? Really?

Usually they at least come out and say "ha, you fucks, got ya again" within a week. Sure they released the one but I ain't so sure they're at least not seriously considering it (http://www.dattebayo.com/pr/84). I didn't post this 'til over a week afterwards.

I hope I'm wrong, but I want to know of any other subbers just in case.

I'm just going on a limb here, but considering DB is named after a phrase UTTERED by the eponymous character in the Naruto series, I would expect the chances of them DROPPING that particular series to be extremely low.

If they did, I feel, it would only be fair that they change their name as well.

They are the only group but they're owned by FUNimation now if I"m not mistaken. If they ever got any legal pressure, it wouldn't be out of the question
