Does he threaten you Zeus? =P
He's actually probably about the right caliber of actor that would fit some role in either one of those movies based on his most up to date stuff.

I think The Aviator and The Departed clearly established that DiCaprio is a good actor.

We've had this argument before and Zeus was wrong then as well.
The Akira thing is old news. I heard about NS on AotS a couple weeks ago. I'm neutral on the idea of both until there's something concrete on either... unless it's a totally Americanized remake of Akira with a similarly common English name.
In 2010, Leo DiCaprio is... FRED.

He can't do the role because Akira doesn't go "undercover" to infiltrate a rival gang.

I still havent seen Akira, but i think a NS live action could be kind of cheesy. The special techs that each ninja has will look like a battle between superheroes, which downgrades the cool and serious story of the anime. I'm always skeptical, but maybe it will be good.
