So, are they going to reveal that everybody is a cylon or something? What about the Seraphs?
If I'm not mistaken, didn't they reveal the 5th human-looking cylon at the end of the last ep? They ain't milkin' shit no more after what happened there.
OK, right now is a HUGE fucking spoiler. So if you haven't seen Season 4 Episode 11, STOP READING RIGHT NOW.
What they revealed at the end of the last ep is that those who inhabited Earth were actually the cylons, not humans. So the Earth they were trying to find this whole time was actually a cylon planet first inhabited by the supposed 13th tribe which were actually cylons. That's what they revealed in the episode.
I'm pretty sure what you'll find out is that it was the humans who nuked them rendering the planet inhabitable (BTW, it's been 2000 years, wouldn't the Earth have cleansed itself of the nuclear fallout by now? If so, shouldn't the water be drinkable now and they shouldn't need to leave it?). And that's probably why they went out into the stars to inhabit other planets. They had nuked the only inhabitable one they knew of at the time which had been overrun by their creations.
Or, it could be that the cylons had tried to escape from them 2000 years ago and the humans hunted them down to Earth and eradicated them. The few that survived from that (the Final Five; BTW, anyone else find it ironic that 3 of the Final Five were the leaders of the resistance on New Caprica?) spent however long rebuilding their army to exact revenge on the humans. Then the humans went about to eliminate the cylon history from theirs and many generations later, created new robot helpers again. That would explain why the models on Earth (the ones from the original 70s series; they're starting to tie it into that) are different than the ones that they recreated many generations later.
It's a stretch but one of these is likely where they're heading. Unless, of course, they wanna talk about the cylons as a completely different race that the 12 tribes happened upon and tried to eradicate. But that wouldn't makes sense with the cylon models on Earth being similar to the ones they created on Caprica and the inclusion of the 13th tribe in the scriptures
