I watched it all from Netflix and also loved it, but im not sure i would watch it again... its one of those where once is enough. Although, maybe i would pick up a lot more detail.

It will prove a great aide in spreading the good word.

Six Feet ain't available for $82. They would never discount a show that kicks that much ass that much.

S(t)FU (Zeus) may have my favorite ending of any series, but it's not better than The Wire.

One of these days I'll give the Wire a shot then I can argue with you on that

Does Dexter count as a drama? Because if so I'd have to contend it is the best of all by far... and it's cheaper than $82

It ain't complete yet. And it'll be more than $82 when it's done with 5+ seasons

I'd have a hard time labelling it as a drama. It probably does fall under there but you really can't compare it to a more traditional drama like Six Feet

I wouldn't say Dexter is better but I definitely find it more entertaining.

If you like The Wire I definitely recommend that you watch The Corner. It's by the writer/producer of The Wire. It's very similar subject matter, but done on a smaller scope, concentrating on those directly affected by the drug culture.

Ah, thanks. Now that I'm older than when I first watched it, I would never rewatch it. The end contains a real life recap of what actually happened (pretty much the same) and what's going on now. Makes it even harder to watch.

I did not know there was a book. I'm going to have to check that out to read during the summer when I'm not going to school and all I have to do is work the door.

I <3 me some Dexter, but I found this past season a little lacking.

Dexter and 6 Feet Under are awesome.

Dexter falls into Dramedy category like with Weeds and maybe Entourage.

Other than the relatively anti-climactic last ep, I thought they did an excellent job with the season. Particularly considering they had nothing to work with in terms of books. The whole idea with Miguel was awesome.

I'm curious as to what they'll do with the next two seasons. I was surprised they held on as well as they did for 3 seasons but I have no idea where they're gonna go now.

Six Feet Under was excellent. Breathe Me (the song playing at the end of the series finale) was our wedding song.

I also loved Dead Like Me and I was really upset it was cancelled, Carnivale as well.

I just got through all the Carnivale DVDs and i also thought it was pretty cool. Its a shame it didnt get picked up for more seasons (like Deadwood, which is even better than Carnivale, i think) but i can understand why. I think people wanted more 1920's circus stuff and less good vs evil supernatural weirdness. It kept my interest, but but wont will the mass public.

Not exactly a shining resume there. His best was Dead Like Me and that jumped the shark big time in the middle of its second season. Heroes is, for the most part, a disappointment that you just wait to get better and Voyager is arguably the worst of the Star Treks

I believe he was involved with season one of Heroes, which people apparently like (I've never seen it). Wonderfalls is also pretty good, but not as good as PD and DLM. Furthermore, eat shit

That's just stupid. Everybody loved it because of the good vs. evil stuff. I mean, Clancy Brown was fucking psycho wicked in that series.

Season 1 of Heroes was promising but ultimately disappointing. Basically they stretched a 15-episode arc into 22 episodes, fumbling along the way. Season 2 was horrible and Season 3 is only marginally better than 2 but shows hints of promise here and there. Nothing to really be overly proud about.

Seraph - that's an amazing deal for the Six Feet. IT's still $200 in Canada. I'm gonna see if they deliver that here.

EDIT: they do, but it'll cost me $75.70 US after shipping and import taxes. That's still less than half price after conversion.

I like Heroes Season 1 a lot. And, yes, Fuller was involved. And he is back for this next Heroes arc so it might actually be good!

See, i dont think so. The previews for Carnivale seemed more like the 'life of a 1920's travelling circus', and its opening show had more viewers than any previous HBO series... only to rapidly decline to almost nothing by the end of the second season, from what i read about the show. Would that lead one to think that people didnt like the good vs evil?

I thought it was pretty cool and people with our interests probably did, too. I suppose thats why you dont also see RPGs and anime rule the world, though.

Actually, hearing about that strange power made me more interested in it than a boring series about a circus show.

I was rewatching the first season and Omar smokes Nat Shermans... Best cigarette on the market. Fucking A and they're what I smoke, too. Good times.

Not really sure how you'd get them in downtown Baltimore, though. You're not finding a $7 pack of cigarettes in a corner store.

The price of cigarettes is the easiest way for me to stop smoking.

Well $7 is expensive for Virginia where I buy Nat Shermans... You can still get a pack of domestics for less than $4 here easy. Hell, they're 4.50 at the bar I work at. Not sure about the tobacco laws in Maryland as I wasn't exactly smoking when I was 10 and visiting my grandparents there haha.
