Stuff that scared me as a kid

Came across a funny site of a guy talking about what scared him as a kid.

The wolf(Gmork?) in Neverending Story scared me. Id have to close my eyes during the scene where he came out of that cave.

The clown doll from Poltergeist under the bed..omg!

Invaders from Mars, the teachers turning into aliens, trying to take kids in the ship underground to be turned into them. The scene where the nonalien teacher and the kid are in the ship and shes about to have a needle thing go into the back of her neck and become an alien...yeah that scared me.

Other than that, nothing much....my mom and I would stay up late and watch scary movies when my dad would go out of town for work. Chopping Mall...Dr Giggles...Dolls...Flowers in the Attic...Faces of Death... I saw all of them before the age of 12 lol

I was freaked out by the bathtub scene in The Shining. And the 2 little girls...argh.

That's really all I remember being scared of as a kid. But, to this day, when I take a dump, I have to open the shower curtain. :)

lol That reminds me I used to be scared of taking a bath because of the bathtub scene from Nightmare on Elm street where she's taking a bath and Freddy grabs her and pulls her down "under" the tub where its all underwater.

This is kinda hard. A few games:

The Immortal - A brutal game with traps everywhere, and gory ways of dying. Even in the starting room, you could step on the wrong tile and die.

There was this other game for the NES, in the style of a graphical "use item" adventure game, where just about every wrong choice killed you. (I thought it was made by Tengen, but I guess not.) Like, you had to break one of three mirrors. One of them would cause glass to shatter everywhere and kill you. The other would open a black hole that killed you.

Shit I still can't watch 28 Days Later. Even in the middle of the afternoon! I had to watch I Am Legend with my girlfriend because I was scared.

Alien is the only film I can tolerate that is in the sci-fi horror genre.

Little Shop of Horrors. I was always getting cavities and the combination of the dentist's drill and the huge plant that ate dismembered people and limbs gave me the screaming terror shits for about a week.

Also, serial killers, airplane glue (one time I got a bunch stuck right on the tip of my tongue when I tried to squeeze glue out of a stuck tube with my teeth like an idiot), death, pain, the 250-lb thugs at my public junior high school, and social interaction. I'm glad I've dropped most of my phobias in the last ten years.

I was always really freaked out by the original Poltergeist movie.

However, I actually was completely freaked out in my younger years (pre-10) by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The whole "heart ripping" scene made me physically ill.

Resident Evil 2 scared me in my early teens. And the Ring fuckin' terrified me when I was younger.

Oh, Lord, the Ring was scary. Did you guys know my sister was in one of the scenes?

Well, The Ring scared the begeezus out of me, and I was 20 when I saw it.

Thanks for making me feel old, Rent.

When i was real young... There was a Sesame Street skit with Ernie dancing with a mummy that i hated.

Neverending story also, but it was the freaky statues with lazer beam eyes that freaked me out.

Gremlins.
