Found this webcomic here at http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/. Looks pretty good I thought, even though the pace is a bit slow.

No, Dragon Ball's pacing was fine. But when it comes to anime they have to add in alot of filter, so it drags on, the manga's pace was much much faster, and the new remake Dragon Ball Kai is also much faster, Vegeta down in 16 episodes vs the original Japanese 35. That's a huge difference.

I should add it's slow because the guy drawing this only does 2 pages per week. The story itself is actually pretty fast faced since it has to get a fight done in like 20 pages or less, but 20 pages would be 10 weeks at the web comic rate as opposed to ~1 week if it was serialized in Shonen Jump.
