It's an 80's anime that is similar to Tenchi in the way that it parodies other popular anime and manga themes of its time. A-Ko is the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman.

A-ko vs B-ko scene Reminds me somewhat of a comedy version of KOSMOS vs TELOS.

This was the first show I ever watched that was identified as anime, it was called "Japanimation" here before that .

I do, funny anime.

Definitely remember this show. I still have the theme song pop up in my head a couple times every year.

Unfortunately, to get it on DVD it is too expensive, each DVD costing about 40 bucks (though as low as 25 before shipping on ebay). Kind of a bit of a let down. I would like it, but for no more than 16 or 17 per DVD; I might bend a bit to 20.
