This movie just keeps shattering records. Certainly one of the most impressive films to ever hit; even if people don't want to admit it (for some messed up movie snob reason), this movie was one of the greatest film experiences of all time.

James Cameron’s “Avatar” became the highest grossing film ever in its theatrical run after opening last December. The movie made has earned over $2.7 billion at the box office beating Cameron’s previous record set by “Titanic.”
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment reported today that “Avatar” has now become the best selling Blu-ray title of all time.
Fox says “Avatar” sold 2.7 million units in North America in just four days, topping the previous record of 2.5 million units held by Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight.”
The studio says retail sales of Blu-ray and DVD Discs have exceeded 6.7 million units since the movie made it to stores last Thursday as is on pace to be the best selling movie title in recent history.

There wasn't anything glaringly awful about that movie. The only thing that I took particular offence to was the lack of subtlety around the metaphors and real world parallels.

It was certainly an okay movie.

I was being sarcastic. I seriously doubt its the best movie ever which is why i havent seen it yet. I may boycott the DVD just to be a movie elitist pain in the ass kind of person.

I saw it in 3-D in the theater and really enjoyed it. Just watched it again on Bluray over the weekend and I still really enjoyed it. I don't think the 3-D really added anything to the experience, personally.

Yes I believe I'm considering doing this as well. That and I really have no interest in seeing it.
