Recently most of the volumes for the manga I vaguely follow came out at the same time (5 volumes in one week!) so I took some time to reread stuff I've already seen 5 months ago. I'm sure people are aware I don't like OP, so normally I don't pay much attention to it other than that it sucks, but looking back at the Ace arc I realized that it's almost like a tribute to Back to the Future between Ace and the Red Admiral. You got a siutation where Ace is supposed to walk away from, and then the Red Admiral is like 'yeah run away like the loser you are' and then Ace had the Marty McFly reaction of "Nobody calls me chicken!" and then they start fighting. Of course Marty McFly eventually learned that it's okay for people to call you chicken sometimes. Ace apparently never learned that.
Sergent Frog volume 20, the Prince of Deep Seas, also came out too, and apparently I didn't even realize there was a volume 19. To quote another guy on the topic, it's not as good as what it was once but not so bad to justify to stop following. The invasion theme is way overused and at this point you really can't care if Earth is about to be invaded by yet another race of deadly and cuddly aliens. I think they need to bring the Colonel guy who was always standing in the shadows saying the invasion is on schedule. Since Momoka is clearly the daughter of Ken and Chun (in the flashbacks it looks like her father was doing Shinryuken opposed to Shin Shoryuken) I think something like Ken + Ryu versus a Colonel + Lieutenant Garuru will be a pretty hilarious match, though they may not have the rights to actually use Ryu's likeness.
