...and why Seth Rogan is seriously not funny nor that great of an actor. No offense but this film seems like it will just sink or swim based on the fact of nostalgia and hype. From the preview Rogan seemed to be just a warm body in most of the shots with his typical dog in head lights look of "What the fuck am I doing here? Oh we're shooting now? Shit, can we cut?".

Also, why is Hollywood casting comedians for comic character rolls anyway (Ryan Reynolds anyone?). Have they all watched too much Entourage? What's next? Zac Galafinakis or however the hell you spell is last name staring as number 21 from The Venture Brothers? (Not trying to knock Entourage or The Venture Brothers as both are great shows) How much longer do I have to wait until they make a Magic the Gathering movie since all things nerdom in the early 90's seem to be hot right now. How bout a decent Witchblade movie that actually showed some tasteful tits but had plot or a Punisher that wouldn't be laughed at?

Is Hollywood just drinking the kool-aid of fan fiction writers now since we'll have a third attempt at The Hulk and Superman and a second attempt at rebooting Spiderman?

Fan fiction writers? Are you calling all comic book writers "fan fiction writers"?

Also, while I'm uncertain of the Green Hornet trailer and casting, remember two things:

1. It's Gondry directing. While action movies seem like a different direction for him, he's a very creative talent.
2. All of this comedy worked well for Iron Man. After all, they cast a coked up drug addict for the star role, and he shined.

I'm not calling comic book writers "fan fiction writers". I'm calling the hollywood script writers who adapt these comics to films, some of them are basically fan fic writers (Did you see the last Superman film?).

1. Didn't know Gondry was directing.
2. Comparing Robert Downey Jr. to Seth Rogan? What ever you are puffing on let me have some.

My main point was that I'm not a fan of Seth Rogan funny. At least Robert had personality and isn't a stiff "deer in headlights" funny. They are two different styles of actor/comic. I'm not sure who I would have picked to replace Rogan but from what I remember of the old TV show it was a bit more dramatic than what the trailer makes the film out to be. I guess I'll have to see the film now.
