4 super cops (HK) - In Shonen Jump they usually give out 10 week notices when your stuff isn't wanted anymore and they're going to terminate your serialization which leads to abrupt endings (like say, Shaman King). In this case the guy has like a 30 week ahead notice and apparently the final bad guy forgot to use all 3 level of his powerups in the final fight and just... died. And it's not like he hasn't used his level 1 or 2 (but not level 3) powers in many, many fights in the past. This series makes you wonder why people have all these power up modes if nobody has legitmately beaten them at level 1 or 2 and sometimes not even 0.

Legend of the superhero (HK) - One of the major characters now has come back to life after two story deaths, and I think that's a record in anything that doesn't feature resurrection as a staple power. I mean nobody is surprised that he didn't die because there wouldn't be anyone interesting left, but both time he died in your generic 'OMG we must avenge for him!' fashion and that means you're supposed to stay dead!

Gambling Legend something (JP) - This now has turned into a manga about a guy that's trying to write a book. I realize stuff like that could work, but this isn't one of the cases where it would.

Gold & Silver (JP) - I'm convinced although mahjong is a staple game played in the Gambling Legend series and related stuff, the author most likely doesn't know much more about it than I do (which is to say, nothing). The whole sequence of events leading to the final draw is only possible if Mr. Silver knew that the second to last tile was and there's no indication anybody could've known what it is. After all any kind of drawing game would be rather pointless if you could see what the future cards are. Then again in the universe of Gambling Legend and related stuff the guy with more money automatically wins, so maybe normal logic rules do not apply. If this was Texas Hold'Em his opponent would start with 10 cards instead of 2 for being rich too, so maybe it's silly to expect anything to make sense here.

Lost Canvas (JP) - I think I wrote a while ago about what kind of powerful creature is 'The Owl' and it turned out The Owl was an undercover agent for Athena. The author seems to be really good at putting twists on things that are so obvious that you can't see them coming. Anybody could tell The Owl was actually on Athena's side but it was puzzling why a Hades Specter will turn against their master since Specters are supposed to be 100% loyal to their cause (minus Yoma perhaps, but he is clearly special as he occupies the Suikoden leader position star of destiny). Well turned out The Owl was never a Specter, but since Hades has his own version of evil 108 Stars of Destiny that means there's got to be some sucker who are like 'The Frog' or even lesser animals. As Pandora remarked, she's never heard of a specter named "The Owl" but since there are 108 of them, even the commander of the Specters can't be expected to know each of the cannon fodder Specters so she just assumed The Owl was one of the unimportant Specters that usually dies by the truckloads.

While Lost Canvas is supposedly a prequel to Saint Seiya, it should really be a sequel since both sides of the conflict have revised their strategy based on events that occur in the future. Of course in Saint Seiya there is no battle tactics to speak of on either side so that's somewhat expected, but it's almost comical that the previous generation of Saints have barrier piercing weapons imbued by Athena's blood and yet 200 years later, the next generation of saints apparently has never heard of Athena's blood as a weapon against Hades.
