Retarded censorship hits DBZ, 10 years later?

The Manga cut version of the DBZ(Dragon Ball Kai) is airing in the US now.

Apparently Mr. Popo was too offensive to leave black, so now he's blue, look at that masterful re-editing.

This is especially retarded because the entire series already aired before, and there was no bitching about Popo's race.

Manga cut version? I thought they were just releasing it for a Y7 audience.

Though, admittedly, Mr. Popo does look like some guy in blackface. Not to say that I agree with the censorship, but I'm not surprised.

Manga cut = no filler episodes or scenes. IE if follows what you see in each manga chapter as opposed to showing stuff that was never in the manga to begin with. No weird filler Garloc Junior saga, Frieza takes 3 episodes to hit his final form vs 10, etc etc.

I understand the whole black face issue, BUT it already aired in the US before, the entire series, and nobody protested DBZ then. It's just a stupid edit, and a very poor one, look at him for Christ's sake lol.

Heh, I remember when I was younger, I used to watch Dragon Ball in French; because the French don't see a reason to censor their anime like the English do.

No 17 episodes of Goku powering up? I may have to watch this.
