This just hit one of my local theatres last night. It has been floating around the internet forever, but I like to vote with my money, so I went and saw it again.
This movie is really where this new movie series and the original TV series begin to wildly differ. New characers, tighter story, more incredible battles, and a lot of the plot points change. If you haven't started watching these, let me assure you that they are worth it if you have any appreciation for the original series.
