He admits they were improving many of the lines 'cause the script just wasn't there

Not bad work, huh?

Sounds about right...cringe-worthy movie.

I was in no hurry to watch the third one, but hearing him point out the shittiness of the previous film makes me a little more willing to check it out.

Wow, from IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/trivia):
Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman originally passed on this film due to scheduling conflicts with other films, but the studios returned to them after looking through the other writers' scripts and finding them unsatisfactory. However, they had only three weeks to write the script due to the 2007 Writer's Guild of America strike. Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf expressed disappointment with the film due to the script's rushed treatment.
I had so much fun with the first one - it was exactly what I needed at the time, giant robots fighting each other, big explosions and some self-deprecating teen humor - but I heard the second was terrible. I never saw it. I hope the third one is like the first.

LaBeouf claims to have bagged Fox. http://movies.yahoo.com/news/usmovies.a ... formers?nc

This kid is an absolute asshole, lol. Bitching about scripts, kissing and telling, drinking and driving, arm breaking... He thinks he is hot shit when is in fact king of the douches. Needs to be smacked down a peg or 5, somehow.

Sounds like it's more like the first. NY Times movie critic A. O. Scott seems to like it for what it is:
There are filmmakers whose work is characterized by thrift, efficiency and devotion to the subtleties of cinematic expression. And then there is Michael Bay, whose films are symphonies of excess and redundancy, taking place in a universe full of fire and metal and purged of nuance. I’m not judging, just describing, and since today’s theme is bluntness, I might as well come out and say that “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is among Mr. Bay’s best movies and by far the best 3-D sequel ever made about gigantic toys from outer space.

...

I can’t decide if this movie is so spectacularly, breathtakingly dumb as to induce stupidity in anyone who watches, or so brutally brilliant that it disarms all reason.
For those that don't know (which I assume is all of you), A. O. Scott is probably the Times' most prominent movie critic, and I often agree with his opinions. He's not above recognizing a movie for being more entertainment than art.

Ha, i think Bay did that for the first Transformers also, he used a few scenes from his Pearl Harbor movie. I dont have an opinion on this yet... i dont think it bothers me.

Uncanny. No one ever said Bay was original and not lazy is re-using similar stunts. He is, after all, allergic to scripts

So, how about that new actress in the third movie? Seems like every preview I've seen, they barely show her, and when they do, it's with that stupid mouth-open look.

OMG, she's an ostrich! And a fucking plastic whore. She's going to end up looking totally fugly in ten years because of that.

I wish they had some sort of video with her standing around dumb with her mouth open in every shot, similar to that YouTube video of Shia saying "nonononono".

She had a lot more scenes than I expected her to have. haha I thought she was just going to stand around and scream the entire movie.
