Not a bad film. I think it paid homage to the original. Continuity looked like it was all there. I went in with very low expectations but it turned out very well.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead I think could be the next Sigourney Weaver of sci-fi horror films.

The John Carpenter version is perhaps my favourite movie in the horror genre. It's always between that and the 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers for me.

I have yet to see the prequel, but reports from people are encouraging. I'll likely see it sometime this week or next.
