You know, Sups kind of has this reputation for being a boring super hero, and the new trailer(s) that aired with The Dark Knight realllllly didn't do much to help dispel that notion, and this is coming from somebody who really likes Superman. I just feel animated DC movies have gotten it right, while the others....haven't, at least not yet.

The only thing that gives me hope for this film (unlike another very recently released superhero movie) are the people behind it. You have Nolan producing with Snyder directing. That gives the movie a fighting chance at least

Damn straight he is. Pretty much all-powerful except for his weakness, which is totally stupid. The guy is exact kind of superhero Alan Moore was dissing when he created Dr. Manhattan.

What don't I know? Superman is boring and one-dimensional. Goody Two-Shoes heroes with no dark side, overconfidence, and barely any weaknesses to speak of have the flattest of personalities. This isn't even a diss on DC. Batman is infinitely better. Green Lantern is infinitely better.

Spiderman, most of the X-Men, Lobo, all of the Watchmen, Preacher, anything Vertigo touches, etc., etc., etc. All of that is better than Superman.

So, for the love of fuck, put the Superman crack pipe down, bury him to the ground, and promote a character that we actually give a fuck about. WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT Y MOVIE WE KEEP HEARING ABOUT?!? Assholes.

Superman is the vanilla of super heroes. Great if done correctly (rare) but there's so much more out there more deserving.
