Bakemonogari/Nisemonogatari are extremely entertaining... they do however take the meta thing so far that it goes from being creepy to entertaining and then in this case basically right back to creepy.

I don't get why there's so many wannabe 18+ material in Anime/Manga instead of just going all the way. You'd get stuff like To Love Ru Darkness that basically shuts down the entire dojinshi industry because it's better than whatever fanmade stuff can be in terms of quality.

Because it's a joke! It isn't a show about a guy fucking his sisters. His sisters aren't even 1% of what gets dealt with in the first season.

You don't have these borderline 18+ scenes literally everywhere across many unrelated genres if people didn't want to see them. To Love Ru Darkness actually sells really well when the author realizes that there's really no point to pretend you're trying to make porn and you might as well just do it. I mean you can pretend what One Piece does with Nami is supposed to be funny but the only reason to have these absurd 3 sizes on OP is because it's in same lame attempt to be more porn-like without getting taken off Shojen Jump. I mean they're not even drawn anatomatically correct, as in someone like Boa Hancock who has B100+ is drawn with too small of a breast and that number solely exists for the realm of male fantasies. It's not even like GTO where all the girls are unbelieveably endowed for their age but still anatomatically correct.

That's basically the revealation the author of To Love Ru had when the sequel, To Love Ru Darkness came out, and it's quite well received when you've scantily clad females flat out replaced with totally naked females.

This is also the revealation that the porn industry had when it realized that people don't give a shit about goofy plots involving TV repairmen and 70's porno music, and replaced (mostly) everything with just sex.

We're reaching? It looks like the author is reaching just to get some sexual humor out of teeth brushing. Which is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

A lot of the humor is lost in a context-less clip from a ~22 minute episode. It isn't the author's fault. Absurdist humor isn't always hard-hitting.

Also the source material is a light novel, meaning wholly text.

Tentacles aren't the exclusive domain of animation. The main character of SAO also cybered with all those girls in the original light novel too and that's pretty much the biggest light novel recently. In fact the Anime version might be slightly less 18+ compared to the novel version.

I think Don is stretching, though. Just because the anime is insinuating a sexual situation it doesnt mean they should just say, fuck it, and make the thing a porn. Everything has levels. If every movie i ever watched was either My Little Pony or Pulp Fiction that wouldnt be much fun.

I think the video is being obviously obvious on purpose, for the humor and for the twisted fantasies of some of the adult viewers.

This isn't like Ranma 1/2 where there are people who are pretty much never aware they're naked walking around and that's supposed to be the punchline for the humor. I don't really see how anything can honestly be funny that involves milk or long, cylindrical objects, and if people find that stuff funny then straightup porn must be funny too. Even GTO, where the entire premise is panty shots, you still won't find anything resembling 'toothbrush humor' in there because even Onizuka knows that his students are all underage and thus totally illegal.
