The Shrine

The story is about this guy who sucks at everything but is very good at video games, and one day while he's playing Street Fighter 2 at the arcade, he ran into the class's wonder girl, who proceeded to totally spank him in Street Fighter 2 using Zangief. The main character decided to pick Guile and turtled his way to a win (sonic boom when far away, sweep when close, flash kick if opponent jumps) and then gets punched in the face for being cheap. In fact this is one of the two losses that girl ever had so far in the manga in any major gaming. We'd later find out like she beat Street Fighter 2 with Zangief the very first time she picked up the game (in fact that was when the time she ran into the main character), and that she can beat Street Fighter 2 using Dhalsim with only weak kick (because every other button was broken, including the directional pads). And this thing is, this isn't one of those like 'I play game and get girls', because that girl is significantly stronger than anyone in the story so far.

The girl would later transfer to America for personal reasons, and another girl who always had a crush on the main character decided to learn how to play video games because otherwise she'd never get noticed, and she was doing fatality in Mortal Kombat by hitting random buttons. Currently, the new girl challenged the main character saying if she wins he'd have to start going out with her, and they're currently tied 1-1. The first girl eventually came back from America and the main character found that she's become even better than before, and that her parents don't want her to see him, but he'll continue to hone in his skill at games for the day they can play together again, or something, but first he has to beat the new challenger.
