Dragon Ball Z: Return of Frieza(2015 Movie)

I sort of hated Battle of the Gods because it was more Dragon Ball then DBZ, but then I think all of the Dragon Ball Z movies are awful, the last 2 are however now considered canon, and take place between the last 2 chapters of DBZ's manga so they piqued my interest.
I have no idea why Goku isn't SSJ
Frieza went SSJ but for whatever his race is, cause gold
I think they're gonna make Vegeta save the day for once instead of Goku for a twist
I'm also impressed with how well Akira Toriyama's art-style still holds up years later in the prologue manga:
