Halloween Horror movies

I've been mostly watching bad monster movie type things this year, but I came across one Film I particularly liked on Netflix called The Conjuring from 2013. It is very similar to Insidious (2010), but with about 20 times the budget, and it's well used; the movie ups the entertainment factor while still capturing the creepy and suspense factors quite well. Patric Wilson is one of the stars in both Insidious and The Conjuring, he's currently starring in season 2 of Fargo.

Anyone have any recommendations for horror/Halloween/monster films?

I kinda liked The Conjuring, too. It was strong enough that if they actually produce a sequel that I would watch it.

VHS is on Netflix and is quite good. Skip the sequels. The second one is tolerable but, eh, skippable.

[Rec] is one of my favorite horror movies ever. The sequels are a mixed bag (of course) with only the third one being horrifically awful and the second and fourth ones at least being interesting. The movies are in Spanish/subtitled, though, so if that's a deal breaker then forget it.

The Babadook is on Netflix and if you listen to the internet it's either AMAZING or kinda decent so at least it won't be a complete waste either way.

Housebound is fantastic if you want horror/comedy that's actually quite good. This is also on Netflix. I think out of the Netflix movies I've mentioned this is probably the strongest.

Oculus is on Netflix and the plot is tolerable... but it stars Karen Gillen so there's that... but it stars Karen Gillen not using her native Scottish Accent, so there's that too. :(

I have seen every horror film since the 80's. Conjuring was definitely decent and some pretty good scenes. Didnt like the ending much though.

I have to go a little family friendly for my go-to halloween movie. Monster Squad. Pretty sure the full movie is on youtube.
