My first weekend with marching band over with.. and I'm spending it working. Harry Potter weekend... this is feared to be the busiest weekend EVER because of that satan-reborn Harry Potter. Have you seen the posters? He's got the EVILEST facial expression with torches burning on either side... pure evil.

Please.. please stay away from the movies... give me a break :) I gotta work the next 3 nights... school will feel good compared to this

you'd be surprised how many hot teen / college girls came to see His film last night ;)

I love how the Daily Show has been relentlessly making fun of us for rushing out to see this thing. Steve Carrel's bit last night was particularly hilarious.

Steve: Jon, this is the MUST-SEE movie of the season. MUST-SEE. And I'll be first in line!
Jon: So, Steve, you're a bit Potter fan, huh?
Steve: No. No. I've never read the book, and..uhh....you know, I don't really even like kids.
Jon: So why are you going to see the movie?
Steve: MUST-SEE, Jon! I have no choice! I MUST SEE this movie!
Jon: Steve, I don't think you HAVE to see Harry Potter.
Steve: No, Jon, you don't understand! AOL/Time Warner has won! You own my soul! I will see Harry Potter. You have won the battle of pop culture! I bow before you!
Jon: Hey, Steve, doesn't Time Warner own part of Comedy Central. They pay your paycheck, right?
Steve: ....I said I'd see it.

Steven Colbert is the guy with glasses. He's the one who's also on Strangers With Candy

Box, Concession, or Usher. Concession's the best cause it's a combo of the other 2, with the ability to mooch off of food and drink :) Box is Concession, except you don't get to move or drink.. you're stuck in a fish tank for pete's sake. Usher you walk around, clean up the crap in the theatres and deal with bitchy customers.. we do that in our stand, but to a much lesser degree (and once again, we got food).

you know the attention span of teens.. it would take too long to cover the specifics of all 3 jobs at once. I could get trained for the other 2, but I don't want to

Once again, a monkey could do the job to a satisfactory extent. Speaking from experience. I actually trained a theater-monkey.

Heh, I saw Harry Potter during my Thanksgiving Break.

Let's keep this short:

Movie was rushed out to make $$$, it was missing ALOT of little details from the book, which was what made the book charming in the first place.
