Finally someone let me out of my cage
Now, time for me is nothing cos I'm counting no age
Now I couldn't be there
Now you shouldn't be scared
I'm good at repairs
And I'm under each snare
Intangible
Bet you didn't think so I command you to
Panoramic view
Look I'll make it all manageable
Pick and choose
Sit and lose
All you different crews
Chicks and dudes
Who you think is really kickin' tunes?
Picture you gettin' down in a picture tube
Like you lit the fuse
You think it's fictional
Mystical? Maybe
Spiritual
Hearable
What appears in you is a clearer view cos you're too crazy
Lifeless
To know the definition for what life is
Priceless
For you because I put you on the hype shit
You like it?
Gunsmokin' righteous with one token
Psychic among those
Possess you with one go

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless,but not for long
The future is coming on
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on

The essence the basics
Without it you make it
Allow me to make this
Childlike in nature
Rhythm
You have it or you don't that's a fallacy
I'm in them
Every sprouting tree
Every child apiece
Every cloud you see
You see with your eyes
I see destruction and demise
Corruption in disguise
From this fuckin' enterprise
Now I'm sucking to your lies
Through Russ, though not his muscles but the percussion he provides
with me as a guide
But y'all can see me now cos you don't see with your eye
You perceive with your mind
That's the inner
So I'm gonna stick around with Russ and be a mentor
Bust a few rhymes so mother fuckers
Remember where the thought is
I brought all this
So you can survive when law is lawless
Feelings, sensations that you thought were dead
No squealing, remember
(that it's all in your head)

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
My future is coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on

Sorry, I just watched the "Clint Eastwood" video by the Gorillaz again. That piece is masterfully bizarre. Almost makes me want to go toe to toe with zombie monkies.

The world is spinning too fast
I'm buying lead Nike shoes
To keep myself tethered
To the days I try to lose

My mama said to slow down
You should make your shoes
Start dancing to the music
Of Gorillaz in a happy mood

Keep a mild groove on

Ba ba ba
Day dee bop

There you go!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!

There's a monkey in the jungle
Watching a vapour trail
Caught up in the conflict
Between his brain and his tail

And if time's elimination
Then we got nothing to lose
Please repeat the message
It's the music that we choose

Keep a mild groove on

Ba ba ba
Day dee bop

OK bring it down yeah we gonna break out
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!

Ah Ah Ah Ah

Day doo de bop

Heh...19-2000 is my fav video. Awesome piece of work!

I'm probably just obsessing with them, but I haven't been so into a band in a long time. The fact that they're a totally fake band probably says something about me. I've already read multiple interviews with the creators, my favorite one being this one on TechTV's web site (gotta love that Audiofile), but I think I only like this because Jaime Hewlitt mentions wanting to do a feature film for the Gorillaz.

You know what would just be so perfect for that? A full-length musical rock-opera of sorts. It's been ages since a good one has been made, and the Gorillaz are so crazy that I think a long animated movie dedicated to their music would be really badass. Almost like a long string of bizarre music videos hanging together by a common storyline. I'd definitely pay money to see that.

The fan site with lots of cool info.
The official site with more cool shit, including a "walkthrough" of the different "rooms" of the band, and a jukebox with all of their b-sides available to play.

And their live concerts are the shit. They have a cover over everything to not show the guys playing, but you see these shadows playing through it. It's hard to explain.
