Man, if I am forced to buy another DVD player because of this (meaning all new DVDs that are produced require this change), someone will die.

LoL.. I don't want to either, although the advantages sound pretty sweeet (Register did an article too)</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I have no doubt that it will be the wave of the future and it sounds like an upgrade in every way. But only the true hard-core people will get one. DVDs just exploded into the market in the last year, you think all those casual people who bought DVD players and drive the market want this?</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Well, personally, I'm disappointed with the current format. The fact I can buy a movie and it sometimes takes two DVDs is revolting. (Or the fact that any anime DVD must only come with 4 fucking episodes!)</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>It's just like a VHS tape right now in terms of how much is on it, sometimes more. That's not even including all the extras. Not too shabby. Besides, the main reason you get only 4 anime episodes isn't because of space concerns, it's called cost-benefit analysis</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>4 episodes per tape/DVD is pretty good (especially compared to anything ADV releases). If you insist on getting more episodes per disc, get HK DVDs.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Not this one. All they have to do is burn the DVD disc in a different format (DVDs cost the same as CDs to manufacture) and change the wavelength of the laser. It'll take, what, a couple of months of manufacturing to get the initial outlay costs down? They're minimal at best</div>
