But when his 12 year old son witnesses a murder committed by his mob boss's adult son, that's where his loyalty to the mob and love for his family collides. But the mob decides for him...and Tom Hanks "lets loose the dogs of war".

BTW....some of you will have a hard time taking Tom Hanks as a hired gun. You'd think he'd say "I was RUNNINNNNG! DOOOOY!!!" any second. =8^)

The movie just falls flat on the "edge of the seat" conflict.</div>

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>Just seemed like it should have been better. Tom Hanks wasn't just an ordinary hit man. This guy was a very highly skilled, creme of the crop assassin; basically the kind of guy that makes you shit your pants if he's pissed at you. Maybe they didn't play up that angle enough. I don't know.

Of course, there is one scene that really stood out...(inviso text)

Road To Perdition. Verdict - not bad...not great either. The Untoucables was far better as far as entertainment value but Road to Perdition was a better drama (with some action). Want to know the plot?

I wasn't blown away either...Great drama, great acting, good plot...Unfortunately, the whole doesn't equal the sum of the parts....
