<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>just a different kind of marketing strategy, nothing wrong with it if it works.</div>

Huh? Yeah right! She's much closer to Britney than say Eminem who is very vocal about his disrespect for Britney. Why not call Eminem the Anti-Britney instead?

Eh, who cares.  She's pop too, just the other side of the same coin.  Instead of crappy-ass pop beats there's guitar and drums.  I didn't think it was possible to make poppier rock music than Blink 182 and still call it punk.

<div style='font: 12pt "Courier New"; text-align: left; '>I find it funny that I once cared about people tarnishing punk, now I couldn't give a shit less. Britteny Spears could just as easily start playing a guitar and get a band and call herself punk and I wouldn't give a damn... in fact she'd probably sound alot like Avril Lavign (or whatever the dumb little girl's name is).</div>

Punk is funny...to be true to the scene, you have to sell out it's ideals.

I'd still fuck Avril though...

No, I don't hate her because of that.  In fact I don't hate her at all.  If some record company producer came to me and told me he could he could make me millions doing the same thing I'd say "Where do I sign?"

<div style='font: 12pt "Courier New"; text-align: left; '>I don't like her, that doesn't mean you can't... There have been formulated rock bands since the beginning of Rock & Roll. In fact, MOST of the early rock groups and alot of the Mo-Town stuff was created by record companies and professional song writers who you never saw. The record company in this case is just trying to cash in on the negative vibe caused by the bad economy. In the late 80's when the economy took a dive, the successfully sold Guns N Roses to a country who the year before was eating up pop and New Wave. Then a few years later when the economy was doing bad again they sold your favorite band Nirvana to a disenchanted public. It's a pretty simple pattern really... Good economy = happy sappy pop music. Bad Economy = rawer angrier music.</div>
