<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>It's better then the first one, but in a lot of areas, I find it quite disappointing. A few of the action scenes also seems quite lame to me. From the ending, a sequel is already planned. See spoilers if you want a more detail description of the above.

<b>Spoiler Message:<b>
<span style="background: black; color: black;">Character development wise, Storm and Nightcrawler had some, but Jean and Cyclops's background are still not explained. I don't really like the Storm/Nightcrawler pairing though. The 3 way love triangle between Jean, Cyclops and Wolverine were not decently played out either.

Deathstrike gets only 1 line thoughout the whole show, but Colossus is worse off, more lines but less then 5 mins total screen time. I don't really like how they change Deathstrike to be a "female wolverine" considering her original plot from the comics were much more interesting.

William Stryker is an incredibly bad arch-enemy and I don't really see how Jason can control professor X.

The ending shows Jean dying, which implies that she's turning into the Pheonix. Wonder how they are going to word this entire saga into the 3rd film, without it looking out of place.</span></div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Deathstrike does have a cool comic story and they basically made her Striker's henchwoman the whole time. The fight with Wolverine was freaking awesome, but character-wise she was wasted.

I loved Nightcrawler. Alan Cummings is the perfect character to play him. I can't imagine anyone else. The whole Storm-Nightcrawler thing would be dumb if they did that. No reason to make everyone into couples.

Wolverine, they made even more bad-ass than before. He was crazy in this movie. The fight in the mansion with the swat team was really cool because he actually killed people.

Also, I was glad they pushed Pyro to the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and didn't leave him as a good guy. He's supposed to be bad! :)</div>

They have to cut the time given to characters and concepts short, so I don't share your complaints about that.

I thought it was a well done comic book movie, don't have any complaints I can think of.</div>

Bitch, bitch, bitch!  This movie kicked some serious ass!

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>In the words of Neil Cumpston at Aint it Cool News, "Story (= for gays)". :) This movie kicks your ass from start to finish as it should. Yeah, there's a story (a pretty decent story really), but this movie has the focus squarely where it needs to be (hint: NOT on the origins of Jean Grey's and Scott Summer's backgrounds).

Being a fan of Xmen, it should be obvious that it is totally impossible to give a complete breakdown on the backgrounds and motivations all the characters in a 30+ year old comic book in the span of a 2 hour movie. Can't be done. For that reason, I thought it would be impossible to make a truly awesome Xmen movie...until Friday. Hooooo! I liked X1 OK, but this one shits all over that one.

Tell me you thought Nightcrawler was half as cool in the comic as he's portrayed in the film. Tell me you thought Mystique was cooler in the comic than she's portrayed in this film. To me these were always junior varsity characters in comics, but in this movie these guys kick some serious ass.

Also, the director did a great job of making it feel like a comic universe in the way the characters powers were showcased. The gloves were obviously off for this one. I can't wait for X3.</div>

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>Oh and it was cool watching Wolverine be the WOLVERINE! No pussying around in this one. Bitches were getting stabbed the fuck up! Um. That's all for now.</div>

BUT....they made a slight error. (spoiler)

<div style='font: 11pt "Fine Hand"; text-align: left; '>When Wolverine got capped in the head....the bullet should not have entered his adamantium skull. Not even a dent.

Jean Gray is not so faithful. *makes out with Wolverine* ".....but I love him!" Heh. Easy pickings. =8^D</div>

Well...

Yeah, but I can point out a lot of  technical "errors" like that....

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>For example, everyone who's read the comic knows that merely keeping Magneto in a plastic bubble ain't gonna do jack shite. Why? Because he can kill you merely by controlling the iron that is naturally circulating in the blood. He wouldn't need to resort to cool tricks like they used in the movie to escape. But I'm glad they used those cool tricks just showcase his total badassitude!

And also the Xmen jet getting stopped by a couple pesky jets with Storm and Jean Gray (especialy one who's hinted at having the Phoenix force) on board? hahaha, riiiiight. ;)

I could point out a million places where 12th level comic dorks could say they messed up, but considering the overall quality of this movie and how the director (gotta find his name) finally brought a living, breathing comic world to life better than anyone has before, I'm willing to forgive.

Now when is Xmen 3 coming out?!!</div>

I let stuff like that slide, but....

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>Like I said in my response at the top of the forum, the Sh'iar don't get involved until during the Phoenix Saga (the actual name). Xavier gets involved with their Empress some time after, which makes life interesting. But after that, they get some ass-kicking gear, and they can always just brush off explaining it by attributing it to alien technology.</div>
