<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Keep in mind, I think Nicholson is one of the best male actors ever and I like Marisa Tomei and John Turtorro A LOT...and I like Sandler's stuff too
This movie just didn't seem to work properly IMO, and most of it had to do with the Nicholson character IMO. He was just too much over the top. I'm all for slapstick, over-the-top comedy (I do adore Spaceballs and Army of Darkness), but he just didn't fit in with the rest of the film. And it was the script, not Nicholson; I thought he did a pretty good job with what he had. But they seemed to just make him do all this weird-ass crazy shit and then "oh, it's all good, it was all planned". There was just too much of that IMO
Don't get me wrong, it's worth watching once, there was enough laughs for that. But most of it was the off-the-cuff remarks (like the "penis with legs" guy) rather than the actual scenes themselves. Fun once, that's about it</div>
