<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I was able to convert it from SVCD to VCD format. Took a while, for some reason, I can't seem to burn cue/bin images with either Nero (5.5.8.0) or CDRWin (5.1). Something to do with a TAO error. Not sure what it is, but my friend is having the same issue, he seems to think it's an issue with XP...

Anyways, I have converted it and watched it, so I know it's all good. It's a telesync copy (recorded directly from the projector, if I'm not mistaken), so the quality is pretty decent. Telesyncs generally have a "faded" look to them and the whites are a bit strong, but this is a pretty good one. It's generally as good as it gets without a direct feed from a screener and quality like the Two Towers that I have is very rare. Very watchable on my 31 inch screen with good stereo sound.

As soon as I'm able to clear up some room on my drive, I'll transfer it over to my FTP. I'll make an announcement when I do.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Ok, it's up on the site. I'm capped at 20 k/sec upload TOTAL, so I'm limiting it to 2 sessions total on the tows account, so it'll only take a day to d'load. If you don't have access and want it, let me know</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>BTW, it's a 3-CD set and I've converted it to VCD format so Nero will burn it right away without conversion. It works great, I watched it today</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Roxio Easy CD Creator and "make a Video CD".

The same function is available in Nero.

Of course, your standalone DVD player MUST support CD-R VCD format...

Hopefully, Zeus' re-encode of the Centropy SVCD didn't lose too much....

If you (or anybody) need either Nero or Roxio, you can d/l them from me (you remember where to look for my FTP addy right?):

I'd suggest you stick with Nero and save me the bandwidth.

Are you giving us access to your site again? :-)

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>The encode of the Centropy SVCD was converted to standard VCD using TMPGEnc and it looks pretty good on my DVD player on a 31 inch screen (regular) with an S-Video cable. Didn't seem to lose too much on the translation, unlike Two Towers, which dropped from a DVD to a high-end VHS quality (but that was expected). It ended up a pretty good quality telesync, the whites weren't quite as strong as they were in other releases I had, like Resident Evil. But it's nowhere near the quality of Two Towers, Columbine, or the original Matrix copies that I have/had.

As for burning it, Nero is what I use. Just choose New -> Video CD and it'll burn them fine without having to encode. I made sure of that.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I'll grab Nero off of you and put it on my site so you don't get hit too hard (plus I want the upgrade to 5.5.9.0 :-). I have Roxio 5.0 Platinum for anyone who wants to use it as well</div>
