<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Actually, Zeus is right. It was released in selected theatres in Dec '03 to get in under the academy deadline.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Official date was Jan 12th. I think it was considered, but the movies that were nominated definately deserved it. While I liked Big Fish, I don't think it was as good as others that were nominated, like Lost in Translation.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Are you kidding me? Fucking SEABISCUIT is nominated! If a movie like that is setting the standards I'm surprised not to see the latest Girls Gone Wild video on the list.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Pretty awesome movie...You can definitely see that it's a Tim Burton movie, although it's not as blatantly obvious (weird) as in his other movies.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Because one of the more obvious heaps of sappy, pretentious, over the top, trite, cliche, Hollywood horseshit (pun intended) that I've seen come out in quite a while. A real "Triumph of the Human Spirit" as it were, because, as we all know, that has NEVER before been attempted!</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Also I've been reading too much Mr. Cranky as of late.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>AND ANOTHER THING! If you're implying that there are no objective standards with which we can judge the artistic quality of a film, then the entire Oscar/Academy premise is devoid of meaning anyway.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Well, it's Tim Burton. That's part of his greatness</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>Well, I don't think that anyone is under the delusion that the Academy is objective. I mean, they can't be, by the mere fact it's comprised of people in the industry. It's just their way of saying "I like your work."</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Well, certainly not. But Derithian seemed to be claiming that I don't think Seabiscuit should be nominated just because I "didn't like it." Which is ridiculous. I mean, I didn't even SEE the movie! : )</div>

<div style='font: italic bold 14pt ; text-align: center; '>exactly but it was a suprisingly good movie. I was amazed because I had thought it was goi9ng to suck too</div>

<div style='font: italic bold 14pt ; text-align: center; '>good point. but I mean the movie script was so full of holes they were bailing water the whole time. I commend them on a good job but in the end the ship still sunk. At least wiht Pirates of the Carribean Johnny Depp was able to keep the boat afloat long enough to make it to the dock.</div>
