Troy was OK, nothing spectacular. Well acted, though, other than Bloom, who was really out of his league. Bana was surprisingly good. Just a little long, coulda shaved 1/2 hour out of it. The classic story saved it, though

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Shrek 2 kinda disappointed too. I found myself falling asleep a bit during the movie. It had it's moments but I guess my expectations were too high.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I didn't think Shrek was The One Animated Movie. It was good and a lot of fun, but I actually thought Monsters Inc. was better, so my expectations aren't quite as high as most. Hopefully I won't be disappointed</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Bah, I enjoyed Shrek 2 almost as much as the first. And though I bought Monsters Inc to show off my nifty new Entertainment center, I didn't really like it much.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>I really hate Cameron Diaz, but I liked how the princess turned into an ogre at the end instead of Shrek becoming a handsome prince.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>The director (or is it producer?) of Shrek also did Beauty and the Beast for Disney. He really didn't like the message of the Beast turning into a prince at the end, but Disney wouldn't let him change it. Enter Shrek.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>I'm sure Hans Christian Andersen didn't like the fact that the Mermaid didn't commit suicide, or Victor Hugo with turning Quasimodo into a fucking gay "happy fella", or Tezuka Osamu with getting his work stolen (Lion King), or Hisao Ohkawa with the same problem (Atlantis). Meh, sounds typical.</div>

To my surprise, yes, a children's book. But I don't think they share the same plot details, just the same basic ideas.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, it seems that Dreamworks Disneyfied it. And if the Beauty and the Beast guy directed it, it makes even more sense</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Actually, it's most likely the producer, Jeffrey Katsenberger or something like that. He's one of the founding members of Dreamworks SKG (with Speilberg and Giffen) and was VP at Disney during Aladdin, Beauty, Lion King, and Mermaid</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Maybe it was Katsenberger that was involved?</div>
