Riddick was very damn cool.  A lot better than Pitch Black (or XXX, for that matter).

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Bigger budget means bigger effects, but they certainly didn't screw over the story, either. BTW, it's a sequel that five years after the first, not a prequel, as many people have said.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>I think after Pitch Black there were rumors of a prequel based on Riddick to be made...and when everyone saw this they just connected the two</div>

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>Above average flick. Worth the price of admition if you're into the genre and worth a matinee if you're not. Crazy plot full of holes, but who cares? Riddick kicks some ass (though he's kinda muted in this one) and that's all you need to care about....</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I actually liked Pitch Black. Wasn't spectacular, but still pretty good once or twice. XXX was the epitome of garbage, big-budget, formulaic crap.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>In the scene where he jumbs the bridge in that car, there are many cuts that show the same few moments over and over at different angles. When my film professor showed that clip, everyone started laughing because once we knew something was up, it was easy to spot and realize how silly it looked.</div>
