I don't think Marvin looks that bad, actually. Zaphod's extra arm and other head look kind of awkward, though.

meh, i kinda thought Marvin did look bad.

The movie itself looks like it could be OK, though.

Zaphod looks like a good character costume, i just hope the actor can pull it off. I cant help but see him as the bad guy from Charlie's Angels and the muderer in The Green Mile.

If it's the one on Apple's site, it's more like a teaser. No actual content. Also, it's made by Disney. This movie is starting to look worse and worse every day...

It's not. This one has footage from various parts of the story.

It does look pretty good, and I can excuse Tricky playing Ford, since he did good in Fifth Element. Though, knowing Disney, they'll find some way to screw it up. Also, you have the problem of trying to squeeze at least 2-3 books into 2-3 hours.

I don't think they're trying to do multiple books. Actually, aside from the beginning, I didn't see much that reminded me of parts of any of the books, which is fine with me. I don't care what changes they make as long as it retains the wit, irony and style of humor that Adams was so good at.

Adams wrote the first draft of the screenplay himself, I believe. He made a few changes here and there, even adding a new character. I haven't seen or heard the BBC show or radio series, but I know that he wrote each incarnation of HG differently depending on the medium.

I just hope the script doctors haven't changed much of the original draft.

I've been less apt towards complete and total accuracy of the books, especially for something like this. Though, again, it's Disney. Even with Touchstone, I still can't trust these guys.

That looks AWESOME.

I can even get over Mos Def's seriosity as Ford which has totally been contrary to every "screenplay" that's ever played out in my imagination over my dozens of readings of the books.

By the way, Mos Def, to the best of my knowledge, is not Tricky.

Mos Def, Tricky, whatever. They are both English black rappers occasionally pop up in movies and look similar.

Another trailer

It's the "making fun of movie trailers" move trailer.
