Death Note part 1 is over

Death Note is a recently popular manga drawn by the same guy who did Hikaru No Go. It is widely speculated that they pulled a page out of Naruto's playbook and made a part 1 & part 2. No doubt the author pulled a page from HNG by starring completely worthless good looking twerps (i.e Raito, the older version of Hikaru and Misa the ditz) as main characters while killing important, well-developed characters for absolutely no reason whatsoever (after all everyone loved how Sai died for no reason whatsoever, which explained why following in HNG plummeted after he died). If there was ever some game/anime/whatever that teaches kids the wrong values (I'm willing to bet this will get banned in US), Death Note is it. The whole message of DN seems to be that you can kill whoever you want as long as you're good looking. Minor things like L standing for the justice of the world doesn't matter since he was ugly.
All the while the author shamelessly wants the audience to believe Raito actually has a brain. No doubt many fans dumber than the author believes Raito actually has a brain since he uses such incredibly well thought out plans, like erasing his own memory whenever L questions him so that not even the L can find any slips with the way he talks, or calling in Death to write fake rules on the Death Note since it's obviously L's fault that he is not well-versed in the ways of Death and what rules they're supposed to abide by. Also, since L has to work with the Japanese police, which are even bigger morons than Raito, so although you're looking at a person who has control of the FBI he has to listen to random dumb Japanese police who got fooled by Raito.
I have seen a lot of bad stuff, but this one ranks up with Silent Fleet in terms of bad as it is not only bad, it's an insult to the intelligence as well as the moral integrity of whoever happens to read it. At this point, I think even the random fanfiction endings like "L returns from Hell as Death L and pwn everything" would be vastly preferable to whatever moronic things part 2 entail.
