I am really, really excited about the Hitchhiker's Guide movie...I watched all three trailers they have up on the website and it just frickin' looks AWESOME...the special effects look amazing and it actually still looks funny too!

If it's not funny it would be a shame...

For a second there I thought this post was about Cold Play's new album coming out, then I remembered the teaser trailer I saw. It does look pretty good, though I haven't read the book yet.

Read the books, watched the BBC series, played the Infocom game. Actually, after looking at the trailers for a bit, it does look like it's good. I'm always scared with how Disney is going to fuck up a movie, given their track record, but at least the characters seem to be the same type of flavor that was in the book. They seem to solve the two-headed Beetlebrox problem pretty well, too.

I just think time is going to be a major problem, though. It's just so much to try to fit into a book, especially with all of the scenes I'm seeing. I can't imagine this not being a 3 hour movie (which I would be fine with, though). Disney's too chickenshit to do that, though.

There could be a sequal. I must admit that i am anxious to see it, too. Being a big fan of the books, i hope it turns out well.

They admitted to it being a modified script, in the trailer i can see things from most of the books. Since the radio show, books, and everything else HGttG are all different, messing with the movie version doesnt bother me, as long as it works.
