Would someone mind explaining just what the fuck this Naruto thing is??! What makes it so addictive to some of you people here at this place?!! I must know this just in case it's something that I could get addicted to and have fun with every now and then.

It's an anime/manga with enjoyable characters.

There's a good BitTorrent floating around here that has episodes 1-25, as well as one with most of the episodes to date (about 130 or so). The show is live in Japan, so it's not like we can see the entire series in one go. So, we have to wait every week for each episode, and DB translates it, usually within 6-12 hours of the air date.

The series has been one of the most enjoyable anime series in a long, long time. It seems to combine the good parts of Kenshin and DBZ, while having very good character development.

Episodes 1-122

I've used this torrent before, so I know it works. The other 1-25 torrent is out there, but it kept stalling on me. If you don't want to download all 22GBs or so of the episodes, just tell your BT client to not download the files you don't want. (Azereus is capable of that.)

It starts out a little slow on the first three episodes or so, but picks up from there. There's a small story arc for about 6-10 episodes, and then starts the Chunnin Exam, which stretches for close to 50 episodes. If you like ninjas and cool fight scenes, you should check it out.

Just go to www.gotwoot.net and grab the eps from there. That's AonE's website and they do the best subs. They have them in 25 ep chunks. Grab the first 25 eps and if you don't like it by about ep 15 or so (the second fight), don't bother. That's one of the better fights and arcs in the series, so if you don't like it by then, you're not gonna like it at all. Just give it some time to get going. All episodic series' need time to develop, so you can't just watch 4 or 5 eps and that's it; particularly long-running anime eps. Once you get to that second fight, the series has gotten past its intro part and really takes off.

As long as DN and POT continues to be serialized, it's going to be pretty tough for Naruto to come anywhere close to even the top 2 worst current manga.

Though I actually like POT more than Naruto because POT is quite good if viewed as a parody of Dragonball, even though it obviously isn't, but with high gravity training rooms just around the corner, it's hard to miss the similarity.

Was good until Sai was gone, then it's just a pretty boy's show.

Hikaru's shallowness would not have been so bad if he actually ever managed to beat anyone with any importance whatsoever to back up his arrogance. Instead you get like 'WHOA Hikaru proved his potential again by losing." repeatedly from the first game he played without Sai's help to the end of the series.

GotWoot was down for a while, which is why I didn't download the torrents from there. I guess they fixed their shit.

yeah, but they're not releasing their new stuff there. You gotta go to narutochaos to get 126-130. They still haven't released 131 yet

I dont have high speed right now so I am not going to be able to get todays episode very easily 8^( it makes me sad.

Yeah except that my computer likes to disconnect me every 4 hours (or less) and I cant be online durring the day because I am hoping to hear from someone who might be giving me a job. *sighs*

Then start at 6pm, check up on it at 10pm, and if you're still up, again at 2am. You should have most of it if you get a steady 5k/sec like that. Then you can just reconnect the torrent tomorrow evening and watch it :-)

Usually if I am lucky I get 3kb/s. I will just have to do what I can. Also I cant start till 7ish or so. I HATE DIALUP
