I find that very very hard to believe. EVERYBODY would pick them up as a publishing partner. It's not like it's a risk buy or anything. I just don't think they are actually accepting bids until the last minute. They still have one more animation to do before they are done with their contract with Disney.
Honestly, I think Pixar is tired of Disney, and won't go back to them. You might even expect some more adult themed movies from them. Hell, Lucas may even grab them back. He's going to be bored after SW3 is done with.
