Super-Saiyan Sasuke has arrived. ;p

Heh, fuck that. It looks like Naruto (or rather NTF) has some speed on him. Actually, I'm surprised that it's already at this point. They are apparently only making it a 3-episode battle. I was expecting something around 4-5 episodes, but I guess there's only so much that they can do, despite their power. In this case, their power far outstrips their techniques.

I didn't expect Naruto's awakening so early either, but it's not like he asked for it. The fox simply took over 'cause he was such a wimp :-)

It would make sense that Kakashi catches up in the next ep. If they make him run around for yet another ep, I'd be pretty annoyed. It should end in the next ep the way it was going there.

That'll be good 'cause then we can move onto Kakashi's and The Fourth's background story. That should be awesome

Those would be background stories that I'd actually appreciate. On that note, am I the only one behaving myself and not reading the manga?

I don't read it, but I have so many people around me that do, that I hear about it all the time. I have to stop them from telling me any details, but it's at least nice to hear what the next arc is

Yeah with this fights end things are about 97% caught up to the manga. They will do the mini-arc, but then I dont know what they will do. I dont think they will start Naruto part 2 right away. And the Kakashi/Obito/Rin/Yondimae storyarc will take more than 2 or 3 episodes at most, as it was only 5 or 6 chapters of manga.

If the manga is at 250 and the episodes at around 130 or so, why are we at risk of hitting the end of the mangas? It seems like it's 1:1 for the two mediums, at least that what I gathered when I read the episode 1 manga.

That's what I thought as well after reading the first two chapters, but apparently, they go a little faster later on

They have defidently started going fairly quickly. For example Sasuke's backstory in the manga is 6 chapters, and it was done in 3 episodes. But to giveyou an idea where we are, right now the anime is about at manga chapter 235 or so. Naruto part 2 started at I think chapter 244, and it is now on chapter 258. Yeah the anime is about to catch up. One of two things is going to happen. Either A, we are going to get a lot of filler for a while here, or B, they will take a break for a year and start Naruto Part 2 as a new series entirely.

Naruto Z?

Naruto part 2 is what the new parts of the story is being called. The characters are all 2.5 years older in part 2 and a lot of their roles have changed. For example Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi make their own team now, and it is as equil ninja, not senior and junior like it was in the earlier storyarcs.

So, we skip all of the tests and they are all Jounin now? That seems a little rushed.

As Eric said that is not exactly right. If you do want more details PM me and I will let you know what you want to know about part 2, as it is likely to be a VERY long time before it sees animation.

Nah, I'll wait. Damn shame that we're reaching the end for a while, but it's probably for the better. Need to relax over nerves a bit and quit talking about the show :)

So, what's another good anime to watch after this is all over?

Well, you've seen Full Metal Alchemist, so that's out. Ummm, try Bleach. I saw the first 10 eps. Wasn't my cup of tea, but I know a lot of people love it

Bleach is one of my current faves. I would also recomend BECK if you are up for a non-action oriented anime. Other really good ones that started recently are Tsubasa Chronicle and Eyeshield 21.

I remember our earlier conversation and will try Beck next or finish Champloo. Then I'll go to Chronicle

Cool. I just now finally got to see the episode (God dialup sucks) and I have to say I was extremly impressed at how they animated full kyubii Naruto. Also you can tell the animation studio kicked it up a notch for this fight, the overall animation is just SO much better.

I just want them to climax in this arc in the next ep. I've suffered enough, dammit :-)

They will be. I saw the preview of next ep and it was defidently the end of the fight.
