Too many flashbacks, not enough battle.

EDIT: I thought the ending was good, but I didn't really understand the outcome. WTF is up with this big ball of rainbow light? And then they hold hands? Too much symbolism or just plain confusion. I just want a goddamn fight. I know it's going to end in a draw, but I still want to be entertained by the fight itself.

BTW, Susake's hand-wings were freaky.

It was all about their unbreakable bond that they developed and just how even they really are. That's also why Sasuke decided he wasn't going to follow his brother's path and decided to try to find power another way, he just couldn't kill his only real comrade. Sasuke's basically a rogue now from the looks of it

I would have preferred a more violent ending as well, but I think in the long run, it works out this way. And having the Atasuki (or whatever they're called) watching Naruto's awakening should make for some good shows later.
