They posted a date of Sept. 13, at the same time as the Japanese release. Are they going to bother with dubbing or just subtitles?

Not positive, but I think they've already got a dub team in place. We MAY have a sub option, but I doubt it. We didn't with the movie

Square's movies so far haven't been very good. Spirits within was quite possibly the worst, least entertaining, movie I have ever seen. Then there is that horrible anime movie which just might be the worst anime movie I have ever seen....

That's a bit much. It was decent. The plot could have been much better, but I've seen much much worse.

That's the one where this chick shoots a crystal out of her ass, right?

Anyway, I've got high hopes for this movie, because most people are saying that it truly kicks ass, and because a really good action flick is what their high-tech CG equipment is designed for. That was the main problem with Spirits Within: they were showcasing the neat facial and character designs, but not doing anything with them. At least Pixar had the right idea to use toys for their first movies, to offset the shiny surfaces of their CG.

Overall though, I think Square will make Pixar's stuff look like a fucking cartoon. Hell, they already have with FF:SW, but they need good storytelling to go with it.

I have never heard of a chick shooting a crystal out of her ass, but I can't wait to see this film regardless if it sucks or not.

Make love to my signature.

It's been a while since I saw the FF movie, but from what I remember, the animation in The Incredibles is better. I'm not concerned with how realistic or life-like it is, I'm concerned with how good it is at conveying what it needs to. What impressed me most with The Incredibles is that each character gives an actual performance through facial expression and body language. What I remember of the FF movie and seen of Advent Children does not have the same level of performance from the characters.

But honestly, it doesn't matter. Advent Children looks good, and I don't feel a need for it to show up another animated movie.
