Anybody get into this series? I had never heard of it until recently, and picked up the series cheap ($20CAD).

Anyway, I can understand why it got cancelled, being one of those series that Fox airs, then unairs, changes the time slot, doesn't put much into promotion, etc.

I've probably seen every episode twice and haven't been this into a TV series since Freaks and Geeks. Throroughly enjoyable, likeable characters... but a really shitty theme song.

A movie follow-up is scheduled for September to wrap-up loose ends. Very excited.


Oh, and Sine if you'd be so kind, please change my join date to November '97. That's about as good a guess as I can make.

Yep, this hacker just defaced the main page, and then move one of the messages to other forum, just to fuck with me.

I remember watching that series, it was pretty good when I saw it. Only got to see 3 episodes before it got moved then canned promptly by Fox. Wish I had the first episode of Family Guy from this season then I could tell you about the other fox show that I liked that got canned, and no it wasn't Skin or that show with Franky G. Fastlane was good too, why'd they cancel that?

I loved the series and yeah, Fox really screwed it over. Shifting time schedules + Friday night scedule + unexpected baseball pre-emptions + out of order broadcasting = screwed TV show. This is especially a bad combination for something that's a different spin on most stuff that's aired.

However I have to say that while I enjoyed the show and was sad to see it go, I don't quite have the foaming at the mouth hysteria that a lot of Internet fans have over the show. Note quite sure which show THEY were watching.

I was glad to hear about the movie being released and I've tried to get into the pre-screenings, but they always sell out long before I hear about them (i.e., I hear about them about two days after the official sign up starts)

yes it was a fantastic show. and don't forget to pick up the Serenity comic detailing the events that take place between the end of the shop and where the movie begins.......such pretty pictures there are in it
