This seems to be proof that dubs suck no less than subtitles, translation wise. AnimeONE and DB both seem to be good translation houses, but I do prefer DB's translations better. (One thing that struck me was DB's translation of the lyrics in the previous intro "This event will crucify you" instead of A1's "hurt you".) The only thing better in A1's translation is the colored text to show who's talking to who.

BTW, it seems like the ANBU half of A1-ANBU is the one overcomplicating things, given their translations on the previous episodes. (See the 96-97 episode comparison.)

Translation is like blind leading the blind. Assuming they are all at least remotely plausible you might as well just go with the one you like the most. With stuff like Naruto you can figure out what's going on most of the time even if you don't understand a single word that's being said anyway.

I've always preferred the ANBU-AonE ones. I found them to be less childish. But then again, I don't know Japanese, so that's what they could actually be saying.
