Howl's Moving Castle

Saw it last Friday night with my GF. Typical Miyazaki quality, gorgeous visuals, etc.

Decent plot, but the story was more character-driven than anything else with a nice shot of fantasy. Was sort of a mix between "Spirited Away" and "Whisper of the Heart", two of my favorites, and thus was all good.

Good date movie.

My wife is anxiously awaiting that film to hit the local indie theatre here. She adores Miyasaki's stuff and will kill me if I don't take her. I'm a fan too :-)

I think Miyazaki's stuff is way overrated, but I do like Whispers of the Heart because it's one of the few that doesn't involve the proletriat overcoming the bourgeois or Mother Nature Strikes Back Against Evil Humans.
