Well, the album is out or coming out soon, but don't buy it if you already have Smash =P

I guess no one here even buys music albums anymore. Anyways, on the new album there is supposed to be a new track called "Can't Repeat", what it will be like, or what it is like, I have no idea.

They're one of my favourite rock bands from the 90's. My favourite songs by them are Genocide, Not the One, Gotta Get Away, and Self Esteem. Smash is easily my favourite Punk Rock album of all time.

Billboard Chart History:

Come Out and Play - #1
Pretty Fly - #10
Why Don't You Get a Job - #38
Original Prankster - #37

The album Smash sold 11 million copies worldwide and went 6 times platnum in the US, it still maintains the record as the best selling album off of an indie label. Americana, their other highly successful album, went 4 times platnum in the US.

Track listing for the album:

01 Come Out And Play (Keep Em Separated)
02 Self Esteem
03 Gotta Get Away
04 All I Want
05 Gone Away
06 Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)
07 Why Don't You Get A Job?
08 The Kids Aren't Alright
09 Original Prankster
10 Want You Bad
11 Defy You
12 Hit That
13 (Can't Get My) Head Around You
14 Can't Repeat*

Come Out and Play immediately made me want to stab them in the face. Garbage! (Actually, Garbage could kick the shit out of those guys.)

BTW, Seeker, why do you feel the need to post sales figures to justify your taste in music?

Where did I say anything about "justifying" my taste in music with sales figures? I just posted them because I knew them, and that is that. I also did not list Come Out and Play as one of my favourite songs (I don't really like that song either), or any of their top singles for that matter.

Once I went back and listened to a bunch of stuff off of Smash, I was impressed. It's pretty good. They have a few other songs that I like ("Staring at the Sun", "Gone Away", and "All I Want" come to mind), but I probably wouldn't buy another album of theirs. (I bought Smash in 8th grade.)

Staring at the sun, I used to listen to that song all the time. I forgot about that one completely until you mentioned it. I'm going to have to download that one or something sometime soon. I would recommend getting Smash over the Greatest Hits album, it would probably be cheaper now too (probably able to pick it up in the 50 cent bargain bin at Wal Mart)
