Comedy Central seems to be the only network doing this sort of thing. I remember when they did the South Park "shit" episode at 10PM. I think they figured that kids should be in bed at that time, and if the FCC bitched about it, they would take it to court.
It actually takes a complaint to the FCC before they look at anything. For example, the Daily Show accidently let the word "fuck" go uncensored on one of their shows. The next day, Jon was ranting about how nobody got a complaint about it at all.
Rosalina: But you didn't.
Robert: But I DON'T.
Rosalina: You sure that's right?
Robert: I was going to HAVE told you they'd come?
Rosalina: No.
Robert: The subjunctive?
Rosalina: That's not the subjunctive.
Robert: I don't think the syntax has been invented yet.
Rosalina: It would have had to have had been.
Robert: Had to have...had...been? That can't be right.
