  • Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Julius Mode (Spoilers)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

I finally got a chance to start a save on it (it is too bad there are only three saves on the game, there should be 10 like Circle of the Moon). Essentially all I have done so far is defeat a couple of bosses, the first boss, and the first Dario (which is simplistic with Julius). I got Yoko almost right away, and I just picked up Alucard a second ago.

I must say, this scenario is a fairly nice homage to Dracula's Curse, which STILL has yet to be released in the NES classics series.

So far I like Julius mode MUCH better than the original game. I do like the original game a lot, collecting souls and such, but it's just so much fun getting back into it with the chain-whip and having Yoko and Alucard on hand who can also kick some serious ass. So far Julius Mode seems a lot easier, but it will get more difficult without the use of any items.
