  • Rock Band feature at Next Gen

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

This really could turn into the very first perpetual non-MMORPG game. New songs every week and that's not including what they could do with new modes or updates. It's not like the core gameplay ever has to change (or really has since Amplitude).

It's awesome what they're doing with the concept particularly the international localization.

EA did something similar with The Sims, they would release new items for purchase at various times, I do recall everyone loving that feature. The Sims was popular for years, though the franchise seems to have slipped of late, people still buy it, but you can't walk around a University Residence and see it on 1/3rd of the computer screens anymore.

I'll be there on Day 1. Rock Band is looking to be pretty nice.

Me too. I love playing the drums, can't wait to go through that mode. My friends are actually interested in doin' the whole band together thing so that should be fun :-)

Fucking games, man... I have to get GH3 ($100-110) at the end of this month, Mass Effect ($70, a Canadian game sold in Canada will be more than in the US, despite the even dollar) and Rock Band ($179US, likely $200 here) in November.

Not to mention I still want The Orange Box and maybe Call of Duty 4... and maybe Assassin's Creed if the reviews are favorable.

Fuck!

But yeah, Rock Band FTW. Give me a Megadeth pack, dammit. If they're going to go as niche as releasing a Grateful Dead pack (18 songs!?), I should get some fuckin' Holy Wars.

Guitar Hero 3 owes me a DLC Megadeth song too, since there isn't one on the game (1&2 both had one) and they fucked me over with the GH2 DLC.

Finance minister recently got Walmart to agree to lower prices to match the strength of the dollar. They agreed on all new merchandise. Haven't been able to get a dollar figure on Rock Band in EB's system so I'm hoping that it'll be either the same or only $10 more than in the US. BTW, GH3 is coming out at $100 Cdn for the bundle and Rock Band at $170US and I'm expecting it to be no more than $180Cdn.

The Orange Box and Dracula X (came out today) are must haves. Not to mention Mass Effect (I'll let you know if Canada's getting the Limited Edition; available only online in the US) and Mario Galaxy....and that's without the handheld stuff, the stuff mentioned above, or the stuff that recently came out that we haven't had time for.....

Jebus, this is a helluva Xmas for games
