I think it's an eyesore, myself. I would have liked to get a black one, but the Daxter pack was too good a value to pass up so now I've got a silver. If anything, the silver at least doesn't show visible fingerprints. I look at my black DS and think I should be wearing gloves while I play.

PS3s are dust magnets. When you take them out of the box, they look all sleeky, shiny and fancy, but after sitting around for a while, they just look dirty.

The newer DSs (Crimson- and Blue-Black ones and the Zelda and Nintendogs ones) only have the top of the top flap with the shiny clear coating over the paint. The rest of the DS is actually a matted plastic so it's soft touch and doesn't show fingerprints. Also doesn't make your hand sweat during the longer play sessions. Far better IMO.

I'm sick of black and grey systems, I really am. I've had so many of them and I think they're boring. Even white is a nice change (DC, Wii and 360) although that's a bit old now since EVERY system is coming out with that colour (Saturn, PS2, PSOne, Xbox). It's usually the first "new" colour. I think a darker red system is best looking, both my GBA and DS Lite are like that (my regular DS was the Mario Kart red one). Blue is nice as well.

I found the silver and black PSPs a little boring so I like this red one. I will likely just pick it up used since I really have no reason to switch to what I think is an inferior version of the system; but that's another story altogether. I am intrigued by the ability to plug into the TV but it stays so small....

Same with the DS Lite colours. I actually didn't really like the White or Black ones (I got my wife a Pink one I'm gonna trade in for the Gold one once there's a used one). I waited for the Crimson which I still think is the best looking one of the bunch.

Black tends to do that. I had the same issue with my N64, PS2, Saturn, and original GC ('til I traded it in for the Platinum) and Xbox ('til I got the clear one).

I dont like the silk screen picture. I would buy an all red one, but dont really want art work on the back. Unless it was Tifa.
