Anyone else pick this one up? I'm really liking it so far, on disc 4/4.

Nice traditional RPG with some twists on combat/skill learning. Beautiful looking game.

It's definately worthwhile, especially in the writing/dialog department (though the Lirum angle is used far too often).

Gameplay left alot to be desired in many different areas, but I'd still recommend it it...if for no other reason the pretty stellar story.

I'm only partway through disk 2 and at this point am fucking loving it....although whenever his grandkids speak I expect them to say wow..thanks green lantern..... and have booster gold pop in to respond that it's booster gold.....I hate hearing the same voices in things ad I loved that JLU episode so it keeps popping into my head....but back to the point......amazing storytelling at the point I'm at. very enjoyable...however I could easily see it coming completely off the rails.....hopefully it won't but at this point as I said....I'm fucking loving it

The game becomes so mind-blowingly retarded in disc three that I was unable to continue playing it because I VALUE my brain cells.

I sold it and got Wii games instead. Fucking storyline SUCKS ASS, and it absolutely didn't have to. The game teeters a delicate balance between being really gripping and emotional to being utterly and shamelessly shitty. Boring boss battles (cheap doesn't equate hard, and how fucking often do we have to fight that one boss battle where a party member is captured and slowly drained of hp, hm? How FUCKING OFTEN?), a bare-bones combat system that loses it's luster by disc two, utterly lifeless set pieces, environments we've all seen before, and...

and this is the kicker

The best fucking part of this VIDEO GAME is the part where I sit on my ass and READ.

If I wanted to read, though, I'd BUY A FUCKING BOOK.

I'm not trying to be Yahtzee, I just get very ticked off when I buy a game expecting something and end up getting something horribly horribly different. I'm not forcing anger, nor am I trying to act any differently from when I normally am pissed off about something.

Ever since the kids were introduced in the game, I thought the story just TANKED. I enjoy the battle system though, but I sort of hung up the reins when I hit disc 4. I'll pick it back up sometime in the future.
